Join paper artist, illustrator and author Sarah Dennis to create your own beautiful hand crafted paper succulant. In this class Sarah will teach you the fundamental techniques of paper craft - scoring, folding, cutting, and gluing. We will use templates to make your own stylish paper design that can be displayed in your home. Paper craft is a great meditative skill, while you concentrate on the cutting process the time slips away, leaving your mind feeling calm and focused.

Spring Inspired Paper Cutting

Paper cut silhouettes inspired by spring designs, learn techniques for paper cutting from Sarah. You will be practising and exploring the techniques, before working towards a final piece to take home with you and display at home. Displaying your own artwork at home can be so rewarding and with this simple. but effective technique you can produce strong designs easily. Paper cutting is a great meditative skill and can offer the perfect craft for practising mindfulness while you concentrate on the cutting process and let the troubles of your day slip away. In this class Sarah will teach you the fundamental techniques of papercraft - scoring, folding, cutting, and gluing. We will use templates to make your own stylish plants including cacti and succulents.   What you will learn   How to properly use a craft knife  How to score/fold paper, the right way!  How to curl paper  How to work with templates  How to create stunning paper cut plant arrangements  How to working with a glue gun and neatly apply craft glue   This class will cater for all levels and all materials and equipment will be provided   Sarah Dennis is a Bristol-based paper artist and illustrator whose work combines traditional papercutting techniques with collage. Sarah's work has featured in a number of magazines and publications including Tatler and The Guardian.
